About
®
One of the challenges faced by Swazi® in our rapidly changing world, has been to consistently source new fabrics which we can then craft into the garments our customers really need and want. We conducted surveys to provide us with vital feedback, the results showing the need to supply a more distinct focus on fabrics which truly reflected the requirements of our customers for their every day use, whether they be for quiet hunting garments or robust workwear.
We then spent two years working in tandem with an Australian laminating mill, developing face fabrics and testing laminates until we were satisfied we were heading in the right direction. Once we were sure we had the fabrics and membrane right, we built some test garments and supplied these to our Swazi Test Pilots around the world. Then we waited. And waited. The feedback was amazing. 100% satisfaction. Even for us, a company extremely experienced in fabricating protective outdoorwear, the result was unheard of. AEGIS® Watershield and AEGIS® Windshield surpassed our expectations and we are sure they will surpass yours.
Where is
® made?
The face fabrics come from the very best mills around the globe, we then co-ordinate the laminating of the membrane, face fabric and the trico backings in Australia.
Why
® fabrics are better?
The fabrics we have developed over the past two years have shown in independent tests to be every bit as waterproof and windproof as our old fabrics. What these tests also showed was enhanced breathability, a factor so important in any waterproof garment.
Is it still as durable?
It is important to use fabrics that perform. What is actually even more important is to design garments which utilise those performance fabrics so customers can benefit from them. Swazi implicitly understands the design process, enabling us to design and craft the very best in wind and rainwear in the world.
