BUFFALO CAPE

Rated 5.0 out of 5
Based on 8 reviews
Code buffalo-cape

The Cape Buffalo is one tough SOB. How could such a lightweight cape as this be so tough then? It's the way we build them. Hand-crafted with care and double stitched seams with extra strength bar tacking on high stress points makes all the difference.

Long in the back for the rain to fall off, short in the front for working at full noise. The neoprene cuffs mean less water rolling down your armpits, while the collar has been cleverly engineered for wearing under a safety helmet and the hood is detachable. Tough? Better believe it.

Made from super abrasion resistant Swazi AEGIS Combat, the Buffalo Cape will give you years of faithful service and tons of comfort no matter how tough or hard the job.

Made in Vietnam.

superperb product

We are forestry and mobile saw mill contractors working in the heart of Dartmoor in the UK, Weather patterns are much the same as the West coast on the South Island of NZ, The buffalo cape allows you to stay dry and comfortable but also allowing you maximum movement during a tough days graft. I bought one of these for myself a good 10 years ago and it's still going strong. My work mate was delighted with this christmas gift for all his hard work this year

Great for zipping around farm

I like the cuffs and hood. The tail is great for keeping your behind dry. Slightly Smaller fit than other Swazi sizing but fits well. Would love the option for smokers pockets or hand warmer pockets for storing more kit on farm that I don’t want mixing in the top pocket.

As hard as a well done steak

I must like these this is my second one( wife stole the first one) . No seriously these are great work capes, very simple and yet so great. The long tail is perfect for when don’t want and extra moisture running down the rear.

The only way it could be made better is some hand warmer pockets so you can stash some stashables when needed.

Buffalo cape for an arborist

It’ll be fantastic, if it ever rains properly in the Waikato! But seriously, I’m an arborist so it’s really hard to find tough practical wet weather gear that works in with climbing harnesses, chainsaws, and trees. We often have our arms above our heads, so the neoprene cuffs on the buffalo cape will be fantastic. Also, being in a physical job we don’t generally need the extra lining that many coats have so again the buffalo cape is great!

Great

Great for work, great for dressing animals in the rain and makes you feel safe when stalking in the bush or glassing. You can’t be missed looking this bright and dapper! The hood isn’t quite big enough to go over an arborist helmet without pulling the jacket up, but great none the less and the bottom zipper is primo as I can access my harness and rope hardware
